Prototype Pollution in extend
Versions of extend
prior to 3.0.2 (for 3.x) and 2.0.2 (for 2.x) are vulnerable to Prototype Pollution. The extend()
function allows attackers to modify the prototype of Object causing the addition or modification of an existing property that will exist on all objects.

3.x upgrade to 3.0.2 or later.

2.x upgrade to 2.0.2 or later.

are vulnerable to a low severity regular expression denial of service when parsing dates as strings.
Update to version 2.19.3 or later.

This vulnerability impacts npm (server) users of moment.js, especially if user provided locale string, eg fr
is directly used to switch moment locale.
This problem is patched in 2.29.2, and the patch can be applied to all affected versions (from 1.0.1 up until 2.29.1, inclusive).
Sanitize user-provided locale name before passing it to moment.js.
